InnovateNB is just around the corner, and there is so much that we want to share. Read on as we outline some of the program, the artist initiative, trade show and career fair, and reveal this year’s InnovateNB Hall of Fame inductees. Once again, this year’s event will be co-presented by InnovateNB’s founding partners, a group of organizations who drive innovation in our province, including TechImpact, the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF), the McKenna Institute at the University of New Brunswick, Propel and our economic development partner, Ignite.

Announcing the 2023 InnovateNB Hall of Fame Inductees: Dave Grebec and Roxanne Fairweather of Innovatia.   

In recognition of their exceptional unwavering commitment to innovation over their illustrious 30-year careers, we are thrilled to announce Roxanne Fairweather and Dave Grebenc, Co-CEO's and Co-Owners of Innovatia, as this year's inductees into the InnovateNB Hall of Fame presented by Mariner.

Roxanne and Dave epitomize the spirit of teamwork and collaboration, approaching their endeavours with a strong sense of urgency, unafraid to challenge the conventional, and determined to leave the world a better place. Their unique recipe for success lies in their capacity to mobilize and ignite inspiration in others to affect change.

What’s happening at the InnovateNB Celebration? 

The InnovateNB Celebration is a day of programming devoted to innovative topics that affect the lives of New Brunswickers. Whether you’re interested in what’s happening in digital education or how AI can be applied to your business, there’s a session for you. We also have a full afternoon for those interested in starting their own innovative business. And be sure to join in for the third iteration of Women Belong Here session, all about understanding the new Canadian career journey.

InnovateNB Trade Show and Career Fair 

Join us at the 2023 InnovateNB Celebration’s Trade Show and Career Fair on Thursday, October 12th from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Fredericton Convention Centre as part of the InnovateNB Celebration. This event is free and open to the public and job seekers will be encouraged to connect with the many organizations offering employment opportunities. 

Companies and organizations from across New Brunswick will be on site and ready to discuss job opportunities. Educational institutions will also be present, highlighting the types of programs they offer and the innovative work that they are currently undertaking.  

If you’re looking for a new innovative career or are interested in immersing yourself in New Brunswick’s innovation ecosystem, this is a must attend event.

Celebrating Creativity: Art at the InnovateNB Awards

InnovateNB is all about creating new experiences, and this year’s InnovateNB Awards is no exception. We are excited to announce that we have worked with the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design to select 10 artists representing their students and alumni to create custom art pieces for our 10 InnovateNB winners. 

Working with the Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s curation team, these pieces will be part of the InnovateNB exhibit that will be displayed at the gallery on the evening of the InnovateNB Awards. 

Join us at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery on October 15th to see the art, meet the artists and learn about their creative process. Can't make it to the event? The pieces will remain in the gallery until the end of the day on Friday, October 13th.

Tickets 

Tickets for the InnovateNB Celebration and Awards are still available but are selling out fast. Tickets include access to all InnovateNB Celebration sessions and workshops during the afternoon of Thursday, October 12th at the Fredericton Trade and Convention Centre as well as the InnovateNB Awards later that evening at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.

Que peut-on attendre de la célébration InnovateNB?  

La Célébration InnovateNB comprend toute une journée de programmation consacrée à des sujets innovants qui affectent la vie des gens du Nouveau-Brunswick. Une foule de séances auront lieu, qu’on s’intéresse à l’actualité de l’éducation numérique ou à la façon dont l’IA peut servir à une entreprise. Nous avons également prévu un après-midi complet s’adressant à ceux et celles qui souhaitent démarrer leur propre entreprise innovante. Et n'oubliez pas de participer à la troisième édition de la séance Les Femmes ont leur place ici, qui vise à comprendre le nouveau parcours professionnel canadien.

La Salon commercial et le Salon de l’emploi à InnovateNB  

Rejoignez-nous au Salon commercial et au Salon de l’emploi lors InnovateNB 2023, le jeudi, 12 octobre de 14 h à 17 h au Centre des congrès de Fredericton, dans le cadre de la célébration InnovateNB. L’entrée est gratuite à ces événements qui sont ouverts au public et nous encourageons les gens à la recherche d'un emploi à réseauter avec les nombreuses organisations offrant des possibilités d'emploi. 

Des entreprises et des organisations de tous les coins du Nouveau-Brunswick seront sur présentes et prêtes à discuter des opportunités d'emploi. Les établissements d'enseignement seront également présents, pour parler des types de programmes qu'ils proposent et des projets innovant s qu'ils entreprennent actuellement.

Si vous êtes à la recherche d’une nouvelle carrière innovante ou que vous souhaitez vous immerger dans l’écosystème de l’innovation du Nouveau-Brunswick, cet événement est un incontournable.

Célébrer la créativité : l'art aux prix InnovateNB

L’esprit de l’innovation anime InnovateNB, et le gala des Prix InnovateNB cette année n’y fera pas exception. Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer que nous avons collaboré avec le New Brunswick College of Craft and Design pour sélectionner 10 artistes parmi leurs élèves ou anciens élèves chargés de créer une œuvre d'art sur mesure pour chacun de nos 10 lauréats et lauréates d'InnovateNB. 

En collaboration avec l’équipe de conservation du Musée des beaux-arts Beaverbrook, ces œuvres feront partie de l’exposition InnovateNB présentée le soir de la remise des Prix InnovateNB. 

Joignez-vous à nous au Musée des beaux-arts Beaverbrook le 15 octobre pour admirer les œuvres d'art, rencontrer les artistes et en apprendre davantage sur leur processus créatif. Obtenez vos billets ici.
